We miss you, Frosty

It's been 5 months since Forsty left us to go to wait at the Bridge. We still miss her sweet face and her sily little dance when Daddy got home. Frosty was a sweet old girl who was turned in to a kill-shelter, when she was 12, by her family, because they were moving. Frosty sat and waited for over a month for someone to come and take her home...but no one did. She was old and not so beautiful any more. On the day we brought her home, she was so sad and lonely that she literally looked like she was ready to curl up and die.

I don't think Frosty's family meant to do something so horrible to her. Lots of people don't understand that and animal "shelter" can be a place that many, many animals die...because nobody wants them and there is just no space for them all.

Frosty had 2 very happy yearrs with us, filled with love and fun. We jmiss you every day!

A true sibe friend

Our new buddy MoonShadow tagged us. She wants us to list 5 things which make us true doggie friends. Here goes...

1. We save $$$ on heating oil! We do an extra good job keeping the bi-peds warm when it is cold outside!

2. We are excellent gardeners. We dig GREAT holes and we keep scary critters like bunnies and birdies and froggies out of the yard.

3. We are excersise buddies! We pull extra hard on the leash when we know the bi-peds need to workout harder. Yawning and stumbling is a sign of that, right?

4. We take cleanliness seriously! We NEVER let food sit on the table and possibly pick up bacteria that might make someone sick.

5. We love EVERYONE! Especially our bi-peds!!!

Flora thinks she is a horse!

Flora: Have I told you all about the mini bi-ped? I really, really wanted one of my very own! I used to visit the one named Jada who was sometimes down the street with her grandparents, but I was never allowed to bring her home. So I hoped and I hoped and then one day...surprise, mom and dad brought home one just for me. She was all cute and little...but then, she started to grow, and move...real fast!!! Now, she is everywhere!!! And she runs around the house yelling, "BoBo, BoBo, BoBo!!!" That's ME!!!! It's fun, but wow is it a lot of work! And, not only do I have to be a dog and take care of all of my dog business, she thinks that I am a HORSE!!!! Who ever heard of a black and white, blue-eyed horse???

Well, I guess it is worht it because she does give the best hugs...oh yeah, and she drops a LOT of food on the floor!!!!!

Harley builds a rescue blog

Harley: Mom taught me a little bit of HTML, so I put my new skills to work and built a blog so that the sibes in MaPaw Siberian Husky Rescue could tell everysibe about what's going on with them. There are a bunch of great sibes at MaPaw right now! And I know a thing or two about what it's like to be a rescue dog because I was one for a little while. When I was just a little puppers, my humans chained me up and taped my mouth shut with duct tape...they said I was too noisey! Well, some very nice people wearing uniforms came and saved me! Eventually, I made my way to rescue...and the rest is history!!! So check out the new blog! I hope you like it!!!

Cybersibes

Hello!!!
We are the Cybersibes...Juno, Harley and Flora.
Welcome to our blog!

Juno: I am Juno...the alpha member of the Cybersibes. I was adopted from the Northhampton SPCA in August of 1999 when I was 8 months old. I pretty much run everything around here! I keep everyone in line, keep an eye on the house (Yes, I AM a watch dog...mom and dad think I must be part GSD), and make sure that walkies happen on time every day!!! You can't tell from this picture, but I am bi-eyed, which means that one eye is blue and one is brown! Daddy says it makes me more beautiful!!! I think he is right! Everyone comments on my beauty!!!

Harley: I am Harley! Also known as Big Buddy. I was adopted from MaPaw Siberian Husky Rescue when I was just a pup. I was taken in by animal control becuase I was being abused by my human's. They turned me over to rescue and they found me a brand new home with Juno and her bi-peds. I am now the "Big Boy" of the household and I run things...well, if June tells me that I can! I am a super giant by Siberian standards. I weigh close to 100 pounds...and NO, I am Not fat thank you very much!!! I just happen to be TALL!!! I have two blue eyes and the best smile ever!!! Just ask my mom! This is a picture of me lkooking especially dapper. And before you ask...N, I did not let them dress me this way! Dad had some fun with PhotoShop!!!

Flora: I am Flora...I am the cutest and most fun of the Cybersibes pack! You can tell because I have racing stripes on my nose!!! I also have a tendency to wear way to much eyeliner!!! This is the most famous picture of me...Upside Down Dog!!! I t has been published all over the world!!! It also got me to the finals for Dogsters coolest dog!!! Alas...I was beaten by a basset hound...I love everyone and am everyine''s best friend. I even let the mini-bi-ped ride me like a horse!!! Some people call me Flo-chunk because there is a whole lot of me to love! But I prefer Flo-puff...
